Ms. Ravare-Jones reports directly to the CEO. She fulfills any responsibilities within the National Office while assisting on day-to-day management of the Office of the CEO. Ms. Ravare-Jones evaluates and prepares materials for the Executive Management and Board of Director’s meetings and interactions; provides follow-up for CEO events; and gathers background research for CEO meetings while also attending meetings with the CEO or in her absence.

Mr. Jim Thompson reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for oversight for NSHMBA’s financial operations, budget, forecasting, cost containment, Financial reporting, IT management, HR, and business administration to ensure compliance, control, and financial acuity for the entire organization.
   

Information Technology Manager

Mr. Duran Waters reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing The NSHMBA Information Technology Team’s, implementing new I.T. functions and upgrades, including preparing for Sarbanes Oxley Compliance. Duran also creates and develops new technologies, policies, and procedures. Meanwhile, overseeing the network infrastructure for the National Office and chapter I.T. systems and communications.
   

I.T. Applications/Training Specialist

Ms. Jacqueline Rodriguez reports directly to The NSHMBA Information Technology Team Manager and is responsible for managing and supporting the I.T. Applications and Training of National Office and NSHMBA Leaders in using I.T. related tools. Jacqueline manages several projects concerning I.T., including application development and elicitation of business processes.
   

Desktop Support/Network Assistant (Contract)

Mr. Brandon Jennings reports directly to The NSHMBA Information Technology Team Manager and is responsible for National Office desktop support and network assistance. Meanwhile, Brandon also assists in maintaining the I.T. servers and network infrastructure.
   

AR Staff Accountant
Monica Puente

Ms. Puente reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for generating and recording all invoices and cash receipts for the National Office and 32 Chapter locations. Ms. Puente also processes payment and prepares deposits. Meanwhile Monica reconciles various revenue accounts, reviews general ledger for revenue recording accuracy, and manages collections. Ms. Puente also processes payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
   

AP Staff Accountant
Ashley Pena

Ms. Pena reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for Accounts Payable in the Finance Department. This includes recordkeeping, and processing vendor payments for all national and chapter vendors. She reviews chapter vendor invoice requests and expense reports for proper approval and compliance with company policies. She is part of the monthly financial reporting process to all NSHMBA chapters. She also assists with documentation and general ledger transactions, journal entries and other records.
   

Accounting Administrator
Karen Bolyard

Ms. Bolyard reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for administration of the general ledger accounting systems, general ledger reconciliations, monthly internal financial statements, and analytical reporting. She coordinates the preparations for the annual external audit, the preparations for the annual tax return, and various administrative contracts. Karen also coordinates on administering informational tax returns, state exemptions required throughout the United States, and issuance of insurance certificates when needed.
   

Accounting Coordinator
Mandi Navarro

Ms. Navarro reports directly to the AR Staff Accountant and is responsible for verifying approvals for various A/P Invoices and assisting in disbursement of A/P checks. Ms. Navarro also assists with collection efforts and the processing of Chapter and National invoice requests. Mandi also sends scholarship and In-kind acknowledgment letters meanwhile also does various accounting duties as needed.

Sr. VP Research and Intellectual Development
Donna Maria Blancero, PhD.


Donna Maria Blancero, PhD is the Senior Vice President of Research & Intellectual Development. As such, she is responsible for leading all content developed by NSHMBA. This includes Professional Development, Leadership and Education programs as well as Research initiatives. Donna is also the Editor of the Business Journal of Hispanic Research, a peer reviewed research journal. To learn more about this journal, please go to: bjhr.nshmba.org.
   

Director of Research
James Carey, PhD

James Carey, PhD is the Director of Research and is responsible for the development and delivery of all internal research for NSHMBA, including chapter research support. This position supports all programming and internal decision making by providing both primary and secondary research. Jim acts as an internal consultant to all departments within NSHMBA, and reports to the Senior Vice President of Research and Intellectual Development.
   

Research Analyst

Lateresa Christian reports to the Director of Research and is involved with the coordination of internal research projects and the analysis of various data. Lateresa works closely with chapter leaders to support them in their surveys to their members. She also collaborates with other departments to assist with program evaluation and surveys.

Cynthia Daly reports to the Director of Research and is involved with the coordination of internal research projects and the analysis of various data. She coordinates surveys such as the membership assessment and sponsor assessment, including development, data collection, analysis, and reporting. She also coordinates with the Managing Editor of the Business Journal of Hispanic Research and the Grant Writer, as well as other NSHMBA departments, as needed to provide research and support.
   

The Intellectual Content Manager
Sandra Pierre


Ms. Pierre, Intellectual Content Manager, is responsible for all content developed for and provided to our various constituents and reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Research & Intellectual Development. Responsible programs include Professional Development, Leadership and Education programs. Sandra leads the team in strategically identifying, managing and maximizing the events, workshops and sessions offered through NSHMBA.

Educational Specialist

The Educational Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering the programs and services offered to assist NSHMBA members in obtaining their MBA degrees as well as coordinating the pipeline development projects with high school and undergraduate students. Ann Kelsey, Intellectual Development Specialist, reports to Donna Maria Blancero, PhD, Senior Vice President of Research & Intellectual Development. Responsibilities include research and professional development activities that support the Research & Intellectual Development Division as well as performing various administrative tasks. Ann works on projects that combine professional development activities, research and The Business Journal of Hispanic Research.
   

Managing Editor BJHR
Maru Tapia

Maru Tapia, Managing Editor, is responsible for the successful publication of the Business Journal of Hispanic Research, from start to completion, including the management of the submission and review process. She works closely with the publisher to ensure timely completion of journal. Ms. Tapia works closely with the Editor and reports directly to the Editor. While the Editor is responsible for content, Maru is responsible for administrative components and is the first point of contact for reviewers, authors and editorial board members.

Vice President, Chapter and Partnership Relations Department
Cynthia Gomez

Ms. Gomez reports to the CEO and is responsible for overseeing NSHMBA’s Chapters and developing and expanding strategic partnerships with national corporations, universities and non-profit organizations. Her responsibilities include providing strategic direction for chapter operations and developing the infrastructure for long-term business to business partnerships. Ms. Gomez and her team actively engage in nation-wide business development and local chapter growth. Ms. Gomez’s team consists of the Partnership Development Executives, Regional Development Executives
and the Partnership Analysts.
   
Chapter and Partnership Relations Analyst
Stephanie Tresch

Ms. Tresch reports to the Vice President, Chapter and Partnership Development and she provides analytical and strategic support for the Partnership Development Executives. Ms. Tresch’s analytical support includes: tracking, reporting, and identifying prospective partners. Her analysis focuses on always seeking revenue gain opportunities by understanding existing relationships and looking for mutually beneficial opportunities for the organization. In addition, Ms. Tresch supports the ongoing chapter improvement projects.
   
Chapter Relations Administrator
Esther Gonzales Smith

Mrs. Gonzales Smith reports directly to the Vice President, Chapter and Partnership Relations. She is responsible for the coordination of critical chapter support projects including elections, NSHMBA U training and resource development. She manages chapter governance, ethics and
compliance and acts as a consultant to chapter management via the RDE and Chapter Officers. Ms. Gonzales maintains and updates chapter resources including new tools, package programs, training and services.
   
Partnership Development Manager
Veronica Reinoso

Ms. Reinoso reports directly to the Director of Operations, and is responsible for developing partner relationships with our corporate, non-profit and university partners. In addition, Ms. Reinoso actively works to engage new organizations for mutually beneficial relationships and works closely with NSHMBA's regional VPs to support the local Chapter relationships. Finally, Ms Reinoso oversees the sponsorship, career development and advertising opportunities for the organization.
Partnership Development Executive

Ms. Gonzalez reports to the Vice President, Chapter and Partnership Relations and is responsible for developing and managing relationships with our corporate sponsors. As a Partnership Development Executive, she works diligently to seek new sponsorship opportunities by understanding corporate relationships. In addition, Ms. Gonzalez actively engages in new business development and works with NSHMBA's Regional Development Executives to support the local chapters. Finally, Ms. Gonzalez assists in overseeing the career center and advertising opportunities for the organization.

As a member of the Partnership Development team, Ms. Psencik also provides support and assessment on non-profit, education and university partners’ needs and ability to support our local chapters as well as the national office.

Her main responsibilities are operational in nature, including developing a regional operating structure that will provide support for the region and reinforce the organizational strategies for future growth. The chapters Ms. Herrera supports are: Atlanta, Orlando, Puerto Rico, South Florida, Tampa Bay and Washington D.C.
 
North East Regional Development Executive

As Regional Development Executive, Mr. Nonis reports directly to the Vice President, Chapter and Partnership Relations. Senior Manager Marketing and Membership

Ms. Gornik reports directly to the CEO. She provides direction and leadership to the marketing and membership team. Ms. Gornik oversees all corporate marketing, advertising, promotion, communications, and membership strategies, plans, and activities at a national level, including public relations efforts and media affairs. Senior Manager, Events and Logistics

Ms. Ramon manages the daily operations of the Events & Logistics department and overall planning & implementation of the Annual Conference, Hispanic Executive Summit and other national events. Drives the venue selection process to strategically position NSHMBA to its stakeholders. Events & Logistics Manager

Mr. Rivas manages the workflow of the Events & Logistics department with accountability to the Sr. Events & Logistics Manager. Facilitates the logistics for all associated activities of the organization. Serves as exhibitor show manager for the Annual Conference’s Career Expo and Interview Center. Performs outreach and customer service to corporate partners confirming that all services and necessary preparations are in order to fulfill contractual obligations.

Ms. Perez is responsible for supporting and contributing to the initiatives of the Events & Logistics department with the direction of the Events & Logistics Manager. Initial point of contact for volunteer program, event registration, housing, and all general conference inquiries. Plays an integral role in coordinating and implementing organizational events in all aspects from pre-planning to post-planning activities. Additionally, manages the conference volunteer program, a fundamental component of the Annual Conference & Career Expo.
